Our Mission

Blessed Baptist Temple

A multi-cultural, Bible believing church based in the South of Manchester, United Kingdom. The church has two overseers and a team of deacons, who assist with the day to day running of the church.

We are a member of the Great Britain Baptist Union and we see ourselves as part of God’s family so we are better known as ‘Blessed Family’.

Our mission is to fulfill the command given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ, to make believers of Him and to help many people to be saved. This is split into four key points:

  1. To make all people the disciples of God. (Matt. 28:19)
  2. To teach all members to observe God’s commandments (Matt 28:20)
  3. To care for one another and people in need (Matt 25:40)
  4. To equip all members to be mature Christians (Colossians 1:28,)

We are assured in our God-given purposes of which the most important is:
  1. To glorify God through the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation and other charitable purposes in the UK and worldwide as the church shall determine.
  2. To maintain a New Testament Church built on the teachings and doctrines of the Bible.
  3. To maintain a centre of Christian life and influence in the community and to support the fellowship of Jesus Christ.
  4. To develop an in-depth spiritual knowledge and commitment within the body of Christ.

Objective

The primary objective of Blessed Baptist Temple, a non-profit Christian organisation, is to fulfil the mandate of God by propagating the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Since its establishment, this mission has remained at the core of the church’s purpose.

We are Christians who have faith in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. We believe that through Jesus Christ we can have life in God for now and eternity and through His Holy Spirit. To become the people we were created to be.

History

Blessed Baptist Temple (BBT) was founded on the 23rd March 2019, but registered officially as a charity organisation in the UK on 22nd October 2019.

The formation of Blessed Baptist Temple came about when a group of believers in the Lord, who were members of Berean Baptist Temple Manchester, United Kingdom. Had the burden of establishing a New Testament Church decided to part ways and go independent from the administration of the Berean Baptist Temple.

Blessed Baptist Temple was founded few months before the covid-19 pandemic started.
This impacted all churches globally due to the lockdown and as a new local church we were no exception.

However, by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, though our means of propagating the gospel was mainly virtual, yet the church was privileged to reach out to more souls to cater for both their spiritual and physical needs.
The Church’s numerical and spiritual growth during this period was beyond expectation.

The Lord has been gracious to us by adding new souls to the church daily and also with signs and wonders.

Affiliation

Blessed Baptist Temple is part of the North Western Baptist Association, which is affiliated with the Baptist Union of Great Britain. The church holds an evangelical perspective and is working towards the advancement of Christian principles both within the United Kingdom and beyond.
